Family Partnership Office

The Purpose of the Family Partnership Office

Our purpose is to help all students succeed by building and maintaining effective partnerships between parents, community and staff.

Understanding the importance of parental involvement, Federal Way Public Schools promotes opportunities for parents to gain a greater understanding of how they can navigate the school system and become advocates for their children.

Our office is also interested in partnering with parents to develop home and school strategies that can help support student success.

Family Partnership Office Parent Involvement Philosophy

Parents know their children better than anyone else. They want the district to support their involvement so that their child(ren) can reach their maximum learning potential.

The Activities of the Family Partnership Office

Our office coordinates Parent Support Activities created to help us share and receive ideas on developing the learning potential of all children.

Addtional Resources

If you have ideas for other ways we can partner with parents, please contact Trise Moore our Family Partnership Advocate at 253-945-2273 or tmoore@fwps.org. We look forward to hearing your ideas on how we can develop and maintain effective parent and family partnerships.
